The treatment has to penetrate the moss and lichen that has been growing to kill the fragments. Once this has occurred, it will weaken from the surface and begin breaking down and washing away. It takes approximately 2-3 weeks for the product to kill the moss, mould and lichen and 12-18 months for all dead growth to be gone, leaving a clean roof.
